2 Items From Your Kit Tinder Burn Time Test

One of the suggested sources of tinder to start a fire in your Prepared Kids Kid-Smart Emergency Survival Handbook is to use the included lip chap and a small torn out corner of the colouring book. This is a test demonstrating how long this type of tinder will burn in calm wind-protected conditions, giving you time to add the small broken sticks and other kindling to build up your fire. Always remember to have at least 3x as much tinder and fire fuel than you think you need before you start.
