Welcome to Prepared Kids Canada (“we,” “us,” “our”). By accessing or using our website preparedkids.ca (the “Site”) or purchasing our products (the “Products”), you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). Please read them carefully.

If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Site or purchase our Products.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to make a purchase on this Site. By using the Site, you represent that you are legally able to enter into a binding agreement.

2. Products and Safety

Prepared Kids Canada produces child-focused emergency preparedness kits designed for educational and practical use.

Please note:

  • No emergency kit guarantees safety in all situations.

  • Children must use kit items with adult supervision.

  • Fire-starting tools, sharp tools, and other emergency items must be used responsibly.

We are not liable for injuries arising from misuse of any Product.

3. Pricing and Availability

All prices are listed in Canadian Dollars (CAD) unless stated otherwise.
We reserve the right to:

  • Change pricing without notice

  • Modify or discontinue products

  • Limit quantities per order

If a product becomes unavailable, we may cancel your order and provide a full refund.

4. Orders and Payment

By placing an order, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate billing and shipping information

  • Pay all charges associated with your purchase

  • Authorize us (or our payment processor) to charge your payment method

We may refuse or cancel an order if fraud or inaccuracy is suspected.

5. Shipping

Shipping times are estimates only; delays may occur due to carriers, weather, or external circumstances beyond our control.

Once an order is shipped, responsibility transfers to the shipping carrier (Canada Post, UPS, FedEx, etc.).

6. Returns and Refunds

Our return policy is designed to ensure fairness, safety, and quality control.

30-Day Replacement Policy (Single Defective Items)

If one (1) item in a kit arrives defective, we will replace that individual item at no cost within 30 days of delivery.

Full Refund Policy (3 or More Defective Items)

If three (3) or more items arrive defective, you are eligible for a full refund when the entire kit is returned within 30 days.

Non-Defective Returns

Due to hygiene and safety concerns, non-defective opened kits cannot be returned.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on this Site—including product descriptions, images, graphics, educational materials, and the “Kid-Smart Emergency Survival Handbook”—is the intellectual property of Prepared Kids Canada.

You may not copy, reproduce, or redistribute any content without written permission.

8. Prohibited Activities

You agree not to use the Site or Products for:

  • Illegal or fraudulent purposes

  • Harmful or unsafe use of emergency tools

  • Resale without authorization

  • Attempting to hack or disrupt the Site

  • Violating local, provincial, or federal laws

We may restrict access or pursue legal action for violations.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • Prepared Kids Canada is not liable for injuries, damages, or losses resulting from misuse of Products.

  • Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the Product.

  • We do not guarantee the Site will be error-free or available at all times.

Emergency preparedness products reduce risk but cannot eliminate all hazards.

10. Warranty

Products include a 30-day limited defect warranty, covering manufacturing defects only.

Not covered:

  • Damage due to misuse

  • Wear and tear

  • Lost items

  • Modifications or alterations
